The Gidleys...oh how time flies! Bryan College Station Photographer

2008
Christmas 2010

There are truly now words for how this triplet family astounds me! I first met Kara and her girls through a referral.  When her triplets (Addyson, Brooklyn & Caitlyn) came for a shoot, the first thing I noticed was how peaceful they were.  That's right, I said PEACEFUL!  Kara mother's these girls beautifully and makes it look easy!  Seriously.  After the first shoot, Kara and I met to proof the photos and order...and we ended up chatting over lunch for over and hour.  And since then we have had Christmas, TuTu and extended family photos.  As I look at the difference in just two years with these girls, I want to freeze time...or just enjoy each new season we have with the little ones in our lives!  Gidley's, let's do Chic Fil A soon! :)

Phinney Pham~ Bryan College Station Family Photography

What does this photo do for you?
The words that come to mind are freedom, the song "out of these ashes, beauty will rise...," expectancy, hope...I would love to hear what it brings out in you.

Oh, the Phinney Fam!  Where do I begin?  This Family exudes joy and gentleness!  These siblings really do like and love each other as much as it appears.  Kat, Calvin, and Becca are treasures.  Kat, the 17 year old dancer/worshippre; Calvin, the 13 year old martial artists/prayer warrior; Becca, the 10 year old "up-for-anything" violinist.  This particular photo shoot was great...we have had a few over the years but I think this one was the most memorable for me.  I think because Calvin is a teenager, Becca is in the double digit age and because of Kat's butterfly dancing.  Kat was the lead role "butterfly" in Suzanne's School of Dance recital last year.  When she dances, it as if the world stops and you must worship along with her.  Seriously, she leads worship through her movement.  I love them  Enjoy...

Look at this cutie...and his parents!~ Bryan and College Station Family & Children Photographer

Meet Carter...well, first meet his parents!  Bobby and Shanna have been in our lives for a long time...Shanna and I taught dance together years ago, I took their engagement photos, we have danced together in Tailtha...we have seriously experienced a lot of life together and she is just one of my good friends.  Bobby and Brian love to play golf together, talk church stuff, and shake their heads laughing at/with me and Shanna!  I couldn't wait to see them as parents...and they are amazing.  They are both "tell it like it is" people but bathed with gentleness, love and hope.  Shanna started Chara Christian Dance Company at Texas A&M and she now owns a studio in Friendswood called Chara Christian Dance Academy.  She is a pioneer in many ways...can you tell I kinda like these people?

So seriously, when it came time to celebrate the pregnancy and birth of their firstborn...I was fired up to capture it on camera!  Here is and the cutest little man "Carter Lee Kirkpatrick"

So many favorites...we'll start with weddings! ~ Bryan & College Station Wedding Photography

As the year begins I want to start blogging with 2010 in review!  2010 was a year of spectacular weddings, new babies, excited seniors, growing families and lots of beautiful dancers!  So, to begin...how about some photos of some of my favorite brides and their husbands!  I plan to add a new couple every few days...

We'll start with Natalie and Royce!  They have quickly become one of my favorite couples ever...for real.  Their genuine love for eachother, for life and for wherever God wants to take them is truly inspiring.
Their wedding day was perfect...the sky was amazing, the venue exceptional, and the dancing...way too fun!  One of my favorite things was their quirky shoes and the wedding gift to Natalie (a personalized bike.)  They proved you can have an outdoor wedding in the summer and totally do it well!  One of my most awkward moments in a wedding happened here...they had tiki torches lit during the ceremony and while they were repeating vows I backed up to get a little bit better view...when I hear someone from the crowd do one of those whisper yells "Steph...Steph..." he pointed to the tiki torch that was centimeters away from catching my hair on fire!  A few rows of their guests were looking at me as I thanked him and maybe turned a slight shade of pink.  What a sight that would have been...long blonde hair made into a torch during their ceremony!  Check these love-birds out...

Meet Heather and Justin...Look at how beautiful this couple is!  I met them through an engagement session that I donated to a church in town for a fundraiser.  When we met, I was like...seriously, they are WAY too fun!  Heather is a knock out beauty that is sweetly in love with her gentle and strong husband, Justin.  At the end of our engagement session, we talked about their wedding and I was so glad I was able to experience engagement and wedding with them!
Heather did an exceptional job with details...and have you ever seen a Kyle Field Cake quite like this one???  They were absolutely precious on their wedding day...genuine tears of gratitude and delight before and during their ceremony.  Brian and I had a blast shooting their wedding...lots of dancing, a photo booth and a unique venue in Houston!  Those of you that have been in our house lately or have seen my facebook profile photo will recognize this place...while we were shooting the wedding, I had their wedding coordinator take a photo of Brian and I by the light...it was too dreamy!  Now it hangs above our bed :)  Thanks Heather and Justin for including us in your day!

Why not blog about it!~ Bryan & College Station Photographer

Well, well...I have finally decided to start blogging in this crazy photo world!  Here is why...I want you to see some of the precious people that I get to photograph week to week.  I want to hear your feedback and I think it will just be fun!  Sound good?  SOOO....without further adieu...welcome to Steph Lee Photography BLOG!!
